Barnabé Delarze finished last at his first Swiss rowing championships. He went on to spend twelve years in the Swiss national team, winning two U23 world titles, World Championship silver in 2018 and the overall World Cup in 2019, and racing at the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2021 Olympics. He has held the Swiss 2,000m ergometer record of 5:40.0 since 2020.
The first in his family to go to university, he completed an MBA at Oxford and won the 2022 Boat Race. He then switched sport and joined Alinghi Red Bull Racing for the 37th America's Cup, where he captained the cyclors and reached the Louis Vuitton Cup semi-finals.
Today he is Head of Growth at Bewe, a Swiss health-tech company. He speaks in English, French and German about how teams hold under pressure. He is based in Lausanne and Barcelona.
